Scholarships are tricky things. Everyone wants
one. Few people get them. Apparently, there are millions out there that go
unused on an annual basis. Because scholarships differ from loans in that they
are free money, they are coveted beautiful things. They are also brilliant
resume boosters and look fantastic on any resume.
A scholarship is a grant given to the student
to continue education .Basically scholarships are provided on various norms and
purpose of the donor. The aspirants who are blessed with excellent knowledge
and who are always on the top rank list but cannot afford to go for higher
studies, since they are below poverty level.
Scholarship can take many forms, a necessary
condition for good scholarship is asking interesting questions that address
important issues and/or challenge existing beliefs. An important factor to keep
in mind as you progress through your high school career is the amount of aid
provided to younger students. A large number of awards are geared toward high
school students.
A second component of scholarship is
generating new knowledge. New knowledge changes the way individuals think about
a problem or solve a vexing conundrum. New knowledge often emerges not from an
individual study but across studies, across researchers, and across
methodologies. Good scholarship is the product of healthy academic
environments, ones in which curious scholars with open minds and different
perspectives are encouraged to vet ideas. Ultimately, this vetting process will
produce new knowledge.. In many cases, good scholarship will require academics
to raise difficult questions about favored theories themselves.
In India there are still some families who
cannot afford education of their children. If students are meritorious, the
schools, colleges or other institutes can offer them with scholarships. A
little bit of push is all that's required to help someone achieve
excellence.
Scholarship in India is doing it with success.
It makes sure no talent goes wasted and every deserving student gets a fair
chance to excel. Students who have merit but cannot afford to pursue higher
studies are supported under various programs of Scholarship in India. These
scholarships are often regulated by certain norms and conditions. There are
special Scholarships programs, which are focused on providing scholarships to
meritorious students and the students pursuing education in the domain of
Engineering, Business etc.
